How to enjoy your Chonky goodies
Every bite is best enjoyed fresh — here's how to store and reheat your treats so they stay just as good as the moment they left our oven.
Storing
- Keep in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
- For longer storage, freeze in a zip-lock bag for up to 1 month.
Reheating
- Pop in a preheated oven at 150°C for 3–5 minutes.
- Or microwave for 10–15 seconds for a quick warm-up.
A short oven reheat brings back that just-baked crunch on the outside and gooey center inside.
Storing
- Best consumed immediately — but keeps well at room temperature in an airtight container in a cool, dry place for up to 5 days.
- Refrigerate for up to 2 weeks if you'd like to keep them longer.
Reheating
- From the fridge: let sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before eating.
- Or microwave for 10 seconds for a soft, chewy bite.
A quick microwave zap revives the pillowy marshmallow and brings out the pistachio aroma beautifully.
Storing
- Keep refrigerated in an airtight container or covered with wrap for up to 4 days.
- Cakes with fresh cream or fruit fillings are best consumed within 1–2 days.
Reheating
- Let slices sit at room temperature for 15–20 minutes before serving — no reheating needed.
- For a warm slice, microwave for 10–15 seconds on low power.
Most of our cakes taste best at room temperature — the frosting softens and the flavors open up beautifully.
Storing
- Keep in a paper bag or loosely wrapped at room temperature for up to 2 days.
- Freeze in a zip-lock bag for up to 2 weeks if you'd like to save some for later.
Never refrigerate — the cold causes the starches to recrystallize, drying out the bread incredibly fast. Room temp or freezer only!
Reheating
- Preheat oven to 160°C, then warm for 5–7 minutes.
- From frozen: let it thaw at room temperature first, then reheat in the oven.
Avoid the microwave — the oven keeps the crust slightly crisp while the inside stays fluffy and buttery.
